Artist Statement
My journey as a dancer is a testament to the power of a good work ethic, perseverance, leadership, creativity, and a deep compassion for my art form. Dance has been my lifelong passion, and it has shaped not only my body but also my character. My commitment to dance is unwavering, driven by a tireless work ethic that pushes me to hone my craft every day. Dance has taught me that success often lies just beyond our comfort zones, and I willingly venture into the unknown to discover new realms of movement and expression. As a dancer, I believe in leading by example. I strive to inspire and uplift those around me, fostering an environment where creativity flourishes. I understand the importance of collaboration and supporting fellow artists on their journeys. In leadership, I find the opportunity to create a space where innovation and artistic exploration thrive. Creativity is the lifeblood of dance, and I am constantly pushing the boundaries of what is possible within the art form. I dance not only for myself but also for the collective human experience, aiming to bring joy, beauty, and emotional connection to those around me. In every step, every leap, and every gesture, I strive to embody these qualities - a dancer driven by a strong work ethic, unwavering perseverance, thoughtful leadership, boundless creativity, and a profound compassion for the power of dance.
Bio
Evan is entering his third year at Kennesaw State University studying Dance with a minor in Nutritional Science. He started his dance training at a young age in various studios in the Metro-Atlanta Area. Most recently, Rhythm Dance Center under the direction of Dani Rosenberg and Becca Moore. He has trained in styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, and Hip Hop. Currently, Evan is a part of the KSU Dance Company and is looking forward to all the things he can accomplish under the training offered at this institution.
